OMG...it's here it's here

So finally the weekend before has arrived. I can't believe a year and a half of planning and paying ugh! has come so quickly. Tay is off at her dads this weekend which leaves me some good free time to pack her up for the trip. I am glad I will have her done by the time she gets home monday. Then I just need to pack me and voila...done!
We have added a trip to Disneyland at the end...more for me. They are having a DVC member reception and I want to see if they have any info on Hawaii or California. Right now they are only available in florida. Oh well, we'll see what they have planned.

I have everything else set up and ready to go but the ride home. We'll figure that out later...there's always later right?!?!?

Tay just got home from her first overnight field trip. They were gone for 3 days and 2 nights. She had a great time. She is now looking forward to next years trip. She was funny on the trip..as i was told, she asked her teacher to carry her cause she was tired...she's lucky she's cute!

Alrighty..off to get packing.

Sunday Lazy Sunday...

Ok, time for updates..

The time before last, I said I had a suprise for taylor. Well it was a quick trip to the house of mouse. We decided at the last minute to go to disneyland with our "dis" friends. Our friends met us at tays school friday before spring break and we got into their car and started to drive. 3 hours in, my daughter says..where are we going? To which my friends daughter says...DISNEYLAND...anyways. We had a good time. I think I lost another set of people to go to disney with..I get a little (or alot) OCD while down in Anaheim.
We had another suprise, Miranda came to work at school for a week. It was lovely to see her although it was to quick and we didn't get a chance to catch up.
We pretty much sat around for most of our break this year. Taylor went to visit our local public school for a day. It was a nice break for me and she had a good day, but she has decided that her school is the place for her...thank goodness.
She also got a haircut and some new "side" bangs...I don't care for them, but she likes them. She just growing up so fast....

This weekend was my scrapbooking day..although it was very unproductive. I was all ready to scrap the last of last years vacation and Creative Memories is changing their disney options and they are not available until May 1st. Bummer. I was not prepared to finish up her school pics. So only 8 pages done, compared to 40 pages last year!

Next weekend, another school auction. This one for a friends public school. I am looking forward to getting dressed up and seeing all of the items they have available.

Our Auction is chugging along, the big date is 2 saturdays away. We look like we'll be having a full house so thats nice. After the auction weekend, tay goes on her first school overnight trip. Gone for 3 days and 2 nights...yahoo...I will start my packing during those days and getting everything ready for our trip the following week.

I'll post pictures later...Have a great spring. The weather is fantastic this weekend...and I actually washed my car myself this morning..saving $9.00 what a deal!

29 days to go

So I really can't believe that this next vacation is right around the corner. After all my planning and organizing it's finally here. The only thing I have left to do is to get my ride home from the airport...but if all else fails, we'll just take a cab. I'm very excited to take my daughter to Walt Disney World for the first time. I haven't been there in 20 years so it's almost my first time too. I am totally getting a button! I tivo'd a WDW special highlighting all four parks. I have watched it about 4 times. Taking notes each time. I have a master plan of doing all 4 parks in 2 days. I know CRAZY...but I am OCD and it can be done. The countdown begins!

Easter..where did march go?

Happy Easter! Today is easter sunday. My brother came down yesterday and we finished the retaining wall! So boring, but it's exciting cause we've been working on it (poorly) for 4 years! I helped too. I know, hard to believe but I did. In the middle of the retaining wall, we had to run down to tays piano recital. Here is a video of my piano prodigy...well in her moms eyes:

This was a busy month for us and I am glad it's over. We left off in february, so here's my late update. I went to the Athenian School auction at the end of feb. I was supposed to go with my girlfriend who works there, but she ended up getting up early that morning to drive some borders over to SFO, so her husband accompanied me instead. We kinda freaked out the people she works with, but we are used to doing that so it's cool. Her husband is my movie date usually so it's nothing new for us. We had a good time, bought some wine and enjoyed the event.

Two weeks later I went with my aunt to watch my cousins last National Cheer competition in Anaheim, CA. While the Varsity team didn't place, their JV Squad came in 6th. It was a fun weekend. The last time I was down in Anaheim with Courtney and her mom, courtney was 4 years old. We took her to disneyland for her 1st time. I feel like this was my last time to go with her. It was also fun to spend some time with just the auntie and me. No kids at Disney. We had fun, took our time and spent pretty much zero! No kids asking for hats, characters or clothes. Awesome!

Next weekend it was time for another Dismeet with our fairfield cruisers. Just the 2 of us this time. We took the kids to see Horton hears a Who. It was a cute movie. I recommend even for adults w/o kids. It had a good message, that everyones a person no matter how small. After the movie we rushed back home so I could get ready for Bentley School Auction. I had to go check out their software and help a friend who was working. Break out another cruise dress and run taylor to her friends for a sleepover and I'm off to SF. It was another fun event. I loved the software, and I saw some current and former parents from my school. They were very nice.

I signed taylor up for her first sleepaway camp. She's very excited to go. She'll be gone for two weeks in august and she gets to surf and horseback ride. Her 2 favorite things. Which is funny to me since she hardly does either one.

Now were up to date. It's easter weekend. Did the recital and soon my brother and I are off to Santa Cruz to see grandma.

Next weekend is a big suprise for taylor. We are kicking off our spring break with a bang. More on that later though...don't want to spoil the suprise.

Dis Meet @ Libby Lu

Today we had our big mini dis meet with fellow cruisers. We met up with 2 other families with children in the same age range as my daughter. To say they had fun is an understatement. As we were driving home, my daughter asked when our next playdate was! She is now more excited for our vacation. As am I. The moms bonded over the multiple dessert options on board and the drinks of the day. We are going to get a reputation for sure! Here are some pics....

New Month New Countdown

Here we are in the middle of february. It's been a while since my last post. Nothing really new has been going on, just finishing up the final planning of our May trip. School has been rolling along. Now we start getting super busy before we leave. At least it's a distraction. This month we have several events going on: Jump Rope for heart, Hundred Day Festival, Kids Dis Meet at Libby Lu and The Athenian Auction.

I spent last weekend shopping with my HS Cousin. I needed her youth and honesty to tell me if I look like and old lady trying to be in young clothes. She was very reliable and we had a great day of shopping.

We spent Valentines day (or singles appreciation day) participating in the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser at school. It's a fun morning of jump rope and contests and prizes. It was a sunny day, but the wind was biting through us. A little too chilly. Taylor did fabulous. She jumped for her Grandma Char and her cousin Eric and made her target goal.

Getting ready to jump!

This is lily. My friend susies adorable little daughter. She was having a good time watching the jumpers!

On Presidents day we are meeting some other cruisers at Libby Lu for a playdate and Lunch. She is very excited to meet 2 other girls her age from northern california. On our last cruise, every girl was from texas to florida. No one from California.

Wednesday, it's the Hundred Day celebration at school. Lots of math games to play. Although, the kids don't realize that, so it's cool.

Next weekend, I get to dress fancy and go to Athenian School auction with a friend who works there. It's good to do some recon for our own auction.

Then March is upon us. Another busy month, but more about that later.

Vacation T-4 months!

There are 111 days until our next vacation. I have all the big stuff done. Airfare done, Hotel done, Cruise paid and done, shuttles done but changeable. I have not bought our WDW tix yet. I will do that closer to the date. In 2 weeks, I can book our excursions. We're only doing 2. Feeding and petting the stingrays in Castaway and then a suprise in Acapulco for taylors birthday. We are going to relax and be low key on this vacation. No going going going like last summer! Then we take a vacation break. I almost have 2 more tix to hawaii and dvc is opening a resort there, so I'll wait until it's open and then we'll be back there for a low cost vacation. Then I will take vacations that fit into my time share plan. Thats why I bought it in the first place....right!

Have a good day!
